Dressing yourself in the morning is hard enough when you don’t have to stand in front of a camera and be your best self. Choosing what to wear for a photoshoot can trigger even the most confident fashionista to pull their entire wardrobe out onto the floor in search of the perfect outfit.
The overall popularity of birth photography has grown quite a lot over the recent years. However, it is still viewed as unnecessary and taboo through the eyes of many. I want to bust a few of the myths surrounding birth photography, and help mamas understand that birth photography is beautiful and totally valid.
THESE LOCATIONS ARE SOME OF MY TRIED AND TRUE FAVORITES, AND WILL BE SURE TO PROVIDE A BEAUTIFUL BACKDROP FOR YOUR PHOTOS!
1. The Beach
While the beach is not local to Raleigh, it is a short enough drive to make a day trip out of! I love the beach for summer sessions and all of the beautiful sunrises/sunsets. My favorite beach to use for photo sessions is in Pine Knoll Shores, NC.
2. “The Creek”
The Creek is the perfect location to get your toes wet during Spring/Summer/Fall and is located between Zebulon, NC & Louisburg, NC! I love the playfulness I can pull out of the kiddos here and the lighting is gorgeous as well!
3. North Carolina Museum Of Art
The Ann and Jim Goodnight Museum Park at the NCMA is a timeless choice and perfect for more of a “boho” and natural aesthetic. The sunsets here can’t be beat!
